From Pinakeshwar to Rajdher

We reached Pinakeshwar top at about 5.00PM.

Since we had lost a lot of time waiting for the bus at Kasari..we were way behind schedule. (We planned to cover Rajdher, and camp at rajdherwadi by end of the day)

But as the light was dimming, and the road was not very clear, we decided to camp at the top, and move for Rajdher early morning nexr day.

On the top, along with us there were hundreds of other devotees, who had come there for the yatra. So finding a place was a fight.

We managed to get a small place for ourselves under a shed, and tried to sleep as early as possible. However..getting sleep in all that chaos was almost impossible.

Next morning, we started off from Pinakeshwar, to Rajdher.

There was quiet some fog, and the road was not very clear. So we took some directions from a local village chap...and thats where we probably made a big mistake.

Instead of taking a route directly from the top (which would have taken us almost directly on to Rajdher) we started climbing down. We were guided by a group of young devotees.

These young boys dressed in red and yellow clothes, and carrying decorated staff, had walked over 200Kms to offer water of Ganga (Godavari) to Motha Mahadev.

The climb down was pretty fast, and we encountered some very pictrious sights and a great waterfall on route.

After almost 4 hours of walking, and after being guided and misguided a couple of times, we reached the base of Rajdher.

As we had already lost a lot of time, climbing back again to Rajdher was not a very good option.

So we just had a magnificent of the fort, and decided to move on.

We reached a place called Ganga Ashram.

And instead of waiting there...unnecessarily walked another 2 Kms to reach RajdherWadi.

Again we waited for a long time for a transport to take us to chalisgaon. We had nothing to do, so we decided to take some rest.

Finally Amod kaka waved a Maruti van, got into in and went in the direction of Ganga Ashram, so that he could get the van back for us.

But to our surprise..he came back in a Tata 407..whis as usual was overcrowded.

So we moved on ..In our fifth mode of transport..a truck !!
