ManikPunj

After crossing the river, we walked till the village at the base of Manikpunj fort.

The kids and the locals were looking at us as if we were a bunch of aliens.

The climb to the fort was a quick and short one.

The view of the villlage below and the sorroundings was awesome.

There was a small temple on the top (And thats all there was) Manikpunj is nowhere near to the forts we have in Pune region, No Darvaja, no Buruj .....It was more of a hill than a fort.

By the time we climbed down from Manikpunj, our boatman had returned to the other bank. So we had to wait for his return.

By the time he came, we finished our Lunch, and also had some fun on the swings the village kids had hung on the tree.

We crossed back, and reached the main road.

There we took a lift in a Qualis, and reach Kasari.

At Kasari..we waited ..and waited ...and waited...But the bus to jategaon did not come for almost 1.5 hours. (And all the while we had to listen to the boreing and loud songs that the hotelwala near the bus stop was playing) was playing.

And Finally when the bus did come...it was already overfull.

But luckily, the conducter allowed us to climb on the roof...and we gladly obliged.

The further journey till Jategaon was a plesent one, and we were having fun on the bus top.
