Patandevi

Perhaps that was the day on which we had to wait for everything.

We waited at the chalisgaon bus stand for yet another hour ( Amod kaka and jayant sir got some delicious apples)

The bus finally came,..and we surprisingly managed to get a seat (So what if it was the last one...and the windows did not close !!!)

By evening, we were at the beautifully located Patnadevi mandir.

Since it was already too late, attempting to cover Kanhera on the same day was not feasible. So, after considering a few options, we decided to camp at a small shack (hotel) opposite the forest dept. checkpost.

That night was the first time when we actually cooked our dinner. Cooking was a pleasure, as for the first time, we were using a portable LPG gas cylinder instead of a kerosene stove.

We had a 3 course dinner on the road. (Veg soupe Mugachi Khichadi and Papad)

Two scary things happened before we went to sleep.

1. We found a scorpion crawling exactly at the place where we wanted to sleep. (Abhijeet sir got rid of it )

2. A chicken gunia patient was brought by some locals. (They were taking hime to get some treatment)

We dozed off after lighting 2 Mosquito coils, and after applying a liberal amount of odomos.
